I’ve been to so many hostels in last 10 years but this one stands out to be the best so far. The architect who designed it literally loved his job to build something like Itaca. Everything is well thought off, from charging plugs inside lockers to purified water in common area. I believe a lot of hostel chains can take inspiration from this hostel and can design something as meaningful as this hostel. 💯

Itaca is a delightful little hostel in a great location in Barcelona. The staff were friendly and welcoming, special shoutout to Gabi who found my forgotten book and kept it safe for me until I was able to collect!!

The hostel is a few minutes walk from a metro so able to get around the city with ease. The common room and kitchen were lovely and inviting where we made so many new friends! Beautiful murals surround the stairs as you go up! You can store and cook your own food but make sure you label up

The bathrooms were very well kept and maintained, communal toiletries available if you’ve forgotten yours, lots of space in the showers and sink areas.
We stayed in a mixed bed shared dorm which was honestly not a bother at all, this is a hostel so if you’re expecting an uninterrupted sleep maybe stay elsewhere. That being said lots of other guests who arrived in the night were respectable of those already tucked up in bed.

Each bed comes with its own locker which is very roomy! Extra blankets available, air conditioning in the room, privacy curtains, plugs and charging ports available in each bed and even in the lockers too so you can charge your devices with peace of mind.

You can store your luggage here after checkout and also buy a day pass to access facilities at a reasonable price, they can clean your laundry and return it for a small price too

We would absolutely stay here again and fully recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Barcelona for a short time, wouldn’t change a thing about our stay at all we had the most perfect time!!
