Warning. Bedbugs in the bedsheets. The mattresses are in plastic but having bedsheets on, as well normal fabric pillows. Since I am allergic to the bites of bedbugs I asked specifically if they wash the bedsheets daily and I was promised that. I do not think this is the case. I got the first bites as soon as I went to bed, and no more after I removed the bedsheet and slept in my sleeping sheet on the plastic mattress. Only few bites yet I am on allergy medicine since few days. Pity, otherwise the place is clean, the bathrooms disinfected and the garden is very pleasant.
Update: those were new insect bites. The pictures attached are taken two days after the stay at this albergue, while taking allergy medicine. More people reported the same after staying ay this place that night.

Hello Cristina. First of all, the sheets are changed every day, I don't care what you think that's how it is. Second, it is very easy for you to pour very serious accusations without any foundation. You were 30 minutes on the clock looking at the beds before, at that moment I already noticed your mental imbalance and paranoia but I didn't say anything because everyone has their problems, I told you that the sheets are changed and you checked everything. The bites of bedbugs are not noticeable instantly as you say in fact they usually appear after days. It is impossible that they are on the sheet, if they were they would be in the plastic cover against bedbugs. You showed me some photos of some bites from 10 days ago which it is clear that they are not from bedbugs either but not to argue I did not tell you anything, even so to make sure I checked the whole bed and there is no trace. I really don't want to offend but you pour very serious accusations without any foundation just because of paranoia you have. The sheets are changed daily and the shelter is totally free of bedbugs, really go to a doctor to have it looked at you, about the bites and the head.

Update: But don't you see that what you're saying makes no sense? You send me pictures of barely noticeable common insect bites, probably from sleeping with the window open, and you say they're bed bugs. I know perfectly well what bed bug bites look like because I've had them, and those aren't them. I don't understand your obsession with accusing me of something I'm not. And on top of that, you're taking antihistamines for it? Be careful, it's dangerous. I recommend you take antipsychotics instead.

Tiene una mini piscina, que para al menos refrescar los pies es ideal. El personal es muy amable. La cena comunitaria muy recomendable

Ik had het graag meer sterren gegeven, maar kan dit helaas niet doen.

Laten we positief beginnen;
1-Het ontvangst was een van de beste van de Camino tot nu toe.
Spontaan, behulpzaam en supervriendelijk

2-De huisgemaakte paella die gezamenlijk genuttigd word is heerlijk.

3- de sfeer is geweldig; maar die moet je wel zelf maken.
De interactie tussen personeel en gasten is minimaal!.

Maar dan nu mijn grootste ergenis;
De prijs en wat je ervaart krijgt.
Wij betaalden een behoorlijke som voor een privekamer, met eigen badkamer en het diner.

En voor dat geld mag je wel iets verwachten.
De kamer zelf is schoon.
Maar de bedden zijn een nachtmerrie....als je in slaapt komt tenminste.

Het matras is doorgelegen.
Het bed kraakt als een malle.
Zo erg dat ik uiteindelijk besloot om.met het matras op de grond te slapen om mezelf, mijn partner en de rest van het hostel niet wakker wilde maken.
Je mag toch wel een beetje onderhoud plegen, want dit kan niet onbekend geweest zijn.

De kamer grenst aan de straat die lawaaierig is; veel groot verkeer, mensen die onder je raam staan de bellen, praten etc. En dan die honden de hele nacht....omfg

Het is niet dat het hostel er per se iets aan kan doen, maar het kan beter en is zeker het melden waard.

Al met al heeft het charme, maar dit is eigenlijk enkel voor het eten.
De rest voelt een beetje als een effectieve manier van geld verdienen met een reputatie en de weinig slaapplekken in dit dorp.

Ik zal hierdoor de volgende keer wel een deur of dorp verder gaan, wat jammer is.

Tip; WD40 en af en toe een matras vervangen.

Voor nu is het het geld zeker niet waard.
En ok dit enkel voor de paella te doen( die echt wel heel lekker en vers is!!!)....er zijn meer plekken waar ze soortgelijke huisgemaakte paella maken.

Je nachtrust en die van anderen is ronduit belangrijk tijdens een pelgrimstocht die je door de Meseta stuurt.

En dan de reactie op kritiek;
Via WhatsApp voor leugenaar uitgemaakt worden.
Valt mij nu op dat elke vorm van kritiek afgedaan word als leugens.
Dit getuigd van zeer onprofessioneel gedrag.
Ze doen aardig zolang ze aan je kunnen verdienen, maar daarna is het afgelopen.

En waarschijnlijk zal de professional hier ook weer op gaan zeggen dat ik een leugenaar ben en dat hij op het bed gesprongen heeft etc.

Ik zal later de screenshots van de zeer professionele houding van deze "ondernemer" bijvoegen om het plaatje compleet te maken.

Heel jammer, want de zaak zelf is echt wel heel tof, de tuin is te gek en het eten is heerlijk.

De houding is om te janken!
Totaal niet tegen welke vorm van kritiek kunnen....misschien word het tijd voor iets anders en laat de gastvrijheid aan echte gastheren over.

(Reviews kunnen aangepast worden en het gedeelte honden was pas in de ochtend toegevoegd.
Net zoals ik mijn ergenis over de reactie die ik in de whatsapp ontving die ik in de middag toe voegde....)

When you wrote about the noise from the bed, I immediately went to check (since the bed base is a new model designed specifically for hotels, although the mattress is not); I lay down, turned over, and moved around a bit, and I didn't hear a sound—certainly not enough to wake the person next to you, let alone the entire hostel as you claimed! That is why I contacted you to say I didn't understand the issue and offered to send a video showing that the beds make no noise—implying you were lying—because it is impossible to wake anyone in the hostel from your bed. Another thing I mentioned to you privately—and which really surprised me—was that you wrote the review between 11:00 PM and midnight, just before going to sleep; I didn't understand how you knew the dogs would bark all night and prevent you from sleeping. Servicio horrible, trato vejatorio. Pasé una noche con mi hijo realizando el camino. Comenzaré por el final de mi experiencia. A las 20.00 horas, la propietaria amenaza con expulsarnos del albergue si no quitaba la reseña negativa que había escrito en google. Cómo me negaba amagó con llamar a la guardia civil. Ahora vuelvo atrás para comentar el incidente. Realizo el camino de Santiago con mi hijo y decido alojarme en este albergue que se anuncia con cocina comunitaria. Compro algo de pasta para cenar y cuando realizo el check-in me aseguro que se puede cocinar. El chico que me atiende me dice que sí, pero que únicamente tienen microndas, e inmediatamente me ofrece por 13 euros la cena que organizan ellos. Desisto del ofrecimiento y pienso que para hervir unos spaghetti el microondas me sirve. Mi sorpresa llega cuando a la hora de la cena pongo a hervir los spaguetti en el microondas y la dueña, con tono despectivo, me dice que está prohibido hervir agua en el microondas. Así que mi hijo y yo nos vemos en la tesitura de cenar pan con pan. Me siento humillado y escribo inmediatamente una reseña donde cuento la experiencia. En ese momento la dueña, que acaba de recibir la notificación de la reseña, se presenta y me ordena que me vaya si no quito la reseña. Amenaza con llamar a la guardia civil, todo esto delante de mi hijo menor que entra en pánico. La cocinera búlgara, una mujer con gran corazón, media en el conflicto. Gracias a su humanidad accedo a quitar la reseña. Por quitarla me ofrecen desayunar gratis al día siguiente. Me niego rotundamente, pero acabo aceptando porque me lo pide por favor la cocinera. Por supuesto, al día siguiente me fui de allí sin desayunar. Debo decir que las magdalenas que compré en el horno de Tardajos están impresionantes y mucho mejor que la bollería industrial que ofrece el albergue. Paso la noche meditando si debo contar o no lo sucedido. Y mi conclusión es que debo contarlo porque el camino de Santiago es una experiencia mágica y creo que todos tenemos la responsabilidad, peregrinos y hospitalarios, de mantener esta peregrinación lo más pura posible. Por eso, publico esta nueva reseña. En este albergue he sentido que la hospitalidad se acabó cuando decline el servicio de la cena comunitaria. Por supuesto que los propietarios deben ganar dinero, pero negar el uso del microondas a un cliente me parece de poca humanidad, además de faltar a la verdad de que haya cocina comunitaria. La excusa que me dio la mujer era que era el quinto microondas que compra. Nos echa la culpa a los peregrinos, cuando la razón para mí, es que esta empotrado en una armariada y se recalienta. Este establecimiento tiene cientos de reseñas positivas, así que la mía no afectará para nada a sus perspectivas de negocio, pero al menos, si algún peregrino busca vivir una experiencia en que la humanidad esté en el centro, creo que merece saber, que si decide cocinarse alli no lo tendrá fácil. Además escasea la vajilla y los cubiertos. Creo que a su paso por Hornillos puede encontrar otras alternativas. Me gustaría que la propietaria pudiera replicar esta reseña para que cuente lo sucedido, desde su punto de vista, para que las personas puedan extraer sus propias conclusiones. ¡Buen camino!

Hola Raul, estás mintiendo desde el primer momento para justificar tu actitud. Cuando llegaste y me preguntaste si había cocina directamente te digo que NO (primera mentira) te digo que únicamente hay microondas. No tengo anunciado en ningún lado que tengo cocina básicamente porque NO TENGO COCINA (otra mentira). Mi actitud no cambió para nada en ningún momento de echo te dejé utensilios de cocina y te dije que cualquier cosa que necesites me la pidas (segunda mentira). En el microondas hay un cartel enorme en español que indica que el microondas es para calentar no para cocinar (ya que cambiamos varios microondas al año por este motivo) tú no haces caso y empiezas a hervir pasta en el microondas, la chica amablemente te dice que no puedes hacer eso (está grabado) (tercera mentira) tú aceparas y por resentimiento de que una mujer más joven te de una orden escribes la reseña mintiendo como esta última. Tienes un problema de respeto por no cumplir las normas de un albergue y de respeto hacia las mujeres por qué te ofendes cuando te lo dicen a la cara.
