Beautiful hotel built on a 14th C. “hospital” (basically a hotel attended by monks and nuns for travelers and pilgrims.) Beautiful grounds, attentive staff, great food and fabulous views.

If you’re walking the Camino de Santiago, this hotel would make a great place for a rest day. Quiet and elegant but not fussy.

Io ho soggiornato in una camera dell’hotel, la struttura è certamente molto valida, bella, ricca di tanti angoli da esplorare o in cui soggiornare, per non parlare del fatto che è un hotel quindi ha i vantaggi rispetto alle varie camere più o meno improvvisate che si trovano sul cammino.

I stayed in the dormitory room - it was a pleasant stop on the camino Frances. I’d give it a 4.5 star

The property is quite nice and has a rustic atmosphere.

The room itself is nothing special, though the single beds as opposed to bunkbeds are a welcome change. The bathrooms are a typical shared style, but one complaint is that the they become a sauna after someone uses the shower.

The highlight of the stay is the pilgrims dinner that they serve, which is much better than average though not show stopping, but the intimate 2-person tables give it a restaurant experience feel.

The food and drinks served at the bar during the day seemed a bit expensive though.

On our Camino we stayed at the albergue (rear of the hotel) which was just excellent. The hotel owner is a former pilgrim and you see that he’s done it with pilgrims in mind…nice dorms with bunks that you don’t bang your head on. Separate gender bathrooms, nice showers and a dedicated handwash area. Lounge inside, kitchen area and a large terrace. The cafe serves coffee at normal prices and there’s a pilgrim menu in the restaurant, 3 courses and a bottle of wine for €6 - excellent quality. It’s a great spot before the climb begins.

El personal encantador, muy agradable, siempre con una sonrisa. La decoración es un plus, ya no hay sitios así. Muy confortable, el camarero del bar muy agradable y simpático. Fue un auténtico placer.
