I had a great experience here! 😄 The night guard was goated, very kind and very helpful, (I asked a question about a local cultural event, and he sent me a ton of resources on the event, even until the next day he was looking for details to send me!), and was willing to speak English with me. The husband and wife (?) who own the place were also very kind and accommodating— I felt badly because I was sent to Figueras last-minute before I had time to learn Spanish or Catalan, but despite the language barrier, the host and I communicated well in poor French. 😄 😄

The rooms were SPACIOUS for the price, and clean, and the bathroom was very nice! Housekeeping came every day to remake the bed, new towels and clean the floor: even when I slept in terribly late, she would swoop in like a ghost when I left. The private bike parking was great & useful. I was very comfortable and slept well, and it was quiet. Plus, it’s a nice walk to the museum and everything else. Even though it was the middle of a heatwave, the building is cool inside. They didn’t take my key when I left the hostel— I just carried it with me.

In the daytime, there is a bar downstairs, but every day it’s full of the same 5-6 regulars, who are funny in the way a neighborhood bar is funny. The bartenders seemed a little surly, but every time I asked for their help with something like getting my bike out, etc, (hotel staff leaves during the day) they kindly obliged me even though it’s not really their job, so I can’t complain. For seventy US dollars a night there’s no reason I wouldn’t stay here a million times over. I extended my stay by two days with no hassle or extra charge and no room change. I was traveling alone as a women and I felt very comfortable and safe in the hostel and I think that’s worth a lot. Very polite and friendly people, the room had all you need for a quick night stay. And I even could park the car next to it for free. Price definitely fair. I’d come back!

Hair on bed sheets. Sewage smell in the bathroom. They take the room key when you leave the hostel. The most absurdly bad hostel i've seen.

Notable, precio muy interesante y bien situado, no dispone de ascensor, y el bar para desayunar, tiene pocas opciones.
