I was here many times. I know Pedro whos taking care of the hostel over the winter. He cooked us the best Maltian pizza. For sure we come back. The sunrises and sunsets are the best on the island.

Lugar absolutamente espetacular. Personas muy amables en el hotel. Lo recomiendo fuertemente quedarse una noche por aquí. Es difícil de llegar, pero merece la pena. No encontrarás otra vista como la de El Warung.

Basic & Beautiful! You get what you pay for here (if you don’t count the incredible views) + free eggs bread and tea. Our Austrian host was a great guy and really helpful! Beds are comfy. But really this place is about the incredible surroundings. The town is lovely also. Do the sea vista hike and the mountain vista hike straight from the hostel.

Men flere madrasser var fukt skadet og var rett og slett helsefarlig.

Really picturesque hostel built in a cave, like the natives used to do. No luxuries or service, but a great experience altogether. Usually full of hikers from all over the world. Incredibly peaceful and breathtaking views of the island and Tenerife. Lots of hikes to do in the area.

Una experiencia diferente, vivir en una cueva por un dia, si buscas estar rodeado de naturaleza y estar en calma, este es el lugar idoneo. Las vistas en la mañana son alucinantes. Me atendieron muy bien, y al llegar nos invitaron a comer, con mucha simpatia y nos dieron información de qué podiamos visitar en los alrededores.

The Cave Hostel's location is ideal as a base for hiking and exploring the trails on the island's interior, in particular the trail from Artenara to Cruz de Tejeda. It's also only a 10 minute walk from the hostel to a the Artenara town square where one can find a grocer and a local pub for nutritional needs. Inside the hostel is quite basic —reasonably so, given the nature of the structure— with only one toilet, a simple kitchen, and a welcoming common room. Outside the view of the valley and mountains is expansive and chairs outside make for a good spot to chill, enjoy the view, and get to know your fellow travellers. Despite the claim on the hostel booking website, the price didn't include breakfast, however juice, tea, and coffee were provided. The location was operated largely by volunteers — the owner isn't present & communicated via messages — so the booking system was in a bit of disarray. Overall it's nice place to stay and I'd visit again.

The cave hostel is in a beautiful location -- the views of the surrounding mountains are spectacular. It's a rustic stay, but that added to the charm for me. Being so close to the mountains is what made this place great! Is stay here again.
