Hospedaje en el casco histórico, muy bien ubicado. Habitaciones un poco anticuadas pero limpias. La cama bastante cómoda y la ducha con presión de agua caliente.

The location is superb, the service outstanding as it is a family runned hostal, breakfast was perfect for those doing el Camino, unlike many other places is not buffet style but warm and prepared for you; by the pictures you can see the room maybe a bit tired, but the excellent price, cleanliness and hospitality make up for it 100 times!

Die Lage ist das einzig Positive, was man daran gut bewerten kann.
Wir sind Pilger auf dem Jakobsweg und hatten eine schlechte Erfahrung mit diesem Hostel gemacht. Absolute Nicht-Empfehlung!
Was wir bemängeln:
- kein frisches Bett, unbequem
- Kopfkissen stinkt (Es riecht nicht) nach Schweiß
- 2. Stockwerk, enge Treppe, kein Aufzug
- lautes Zimmer
- die Dame freundlich aber der Mann war unverschämt beim Frühstück
- Frühstück: dürftig, für ein bezahltes Frühstück zu wenig und nicht gut, nicht reichhaltig, lediglich 2 Scheiben trockenen Toast mit 1 Scheibe Schinken
- Wasser am Frühstück musste man bezahlen

Für die Strecke nach Arcade (27km) ein denkbar schlechter Start. Wir frühstückten dann auf der Strecke nochmal richtig.

Das Hotel sieht etwas altmodisch aus und man darf nicht bei allem so genau hin gucken. Ich denke Personen mit einer Stauballergie dürften sich auf eine Nacht mit Husten einstellen. Für eine Nacht als Pilgerer war es jedoch mehr als OK.die Besitzer sind sehr sehr freundlich und die Tortilla dort war sehr sehr lecker. Die Matratze war so schön weiche, dort habe ich persönlich am besten geschlafen auf meiner Reise. Die Lage ist zentral und liegt genau auf dem Weg. Als Pilgerer würde ich wieder kommen.

My stay at Pension Louro along the Camino de Santiago was truly unforgettable, and it’s all thanks to the incredible people who run it.

Mr. Jose and Raquel are the heart and soul of this place — two of the kindest, most genuine people you could ever hope to meet on the Camino. Their warmth, generosity, and “heart of gold” shine through in everything they do. From the moment I arrived, they treated me not just as a guest, but as family. Their care, attention, and willingness to help in any way made a lasting impression on me.

The pension itself is comfortable, clean, and welcoming — exactly what a pilgrim needs after a long day of walking. But what truly sets it apart is the atmosphere that Jose and Raquel create. It’s a place filled with kindness, encouragement, and human connection — something that perfectly reflects the spirit of the Camino.

Staying here was more than just a night’s rest; it was a meaningful experience that reminded me what the journey is really about. I will always remember their generosity and the warmth they shared.

If you have the chance to stay at Pension Louro, don’t hesitate — it’s a special place run by truly special people.

I feel catfished. Booked through Airbnb. Chatted with a “friendly lady” called Emilia, but was “greeted” by a mean old man, who was in a hurry to explain to me all things I could do wrong in his hotel. This is Not someone’s home. This is a poorly kept hostel with no kitchen and rude personnel. They offer breakfast, but would you pay extra to eat in a place where there’s a cleanliness issues… The room was not clean. Hair in the bathtub. No soap. Central place between a highway and the train tracks. Our windows is directly over their restaurant vent so instead of fresh air we got smell of who-knows-what. Dirty nightstand. If you value cleanliness and hospitality- choose a different place. Did I mention the WiFi is not stable and gave out before midnight. Is this enough or shall I keep going.. Ugh!
