Saw some of the negative reviews but not really my experience. The person volunteering in the Albergue was super friendly, his name is Mariano. I actually didn’t have a sleeping bag and it was super cold, but at night before closing the monastery he saw me sleeping without it and brought me a blanket without me even asking. I think a lot of people forgets to interact and have meaningful moments with volunteers working here, and then they expect for them to take care of us the pilgrims. Beds are pretty close together but my recommendation is to choose one next to people you know. Xx

Si puedes evita este albergue, aunque dice donativo te obligan un mínimo de 10€, cuando por 5€ más tendrás lugares bastantes mejores, Yo estuve en mayo del 2024 y el lugar era frío y las instalaciones pésimas, con paredes que se caían de la humedad y encima el hospitalero te trataba mal a los peregrinos. NO RESERVAR.

Experiencia de 10!!! Después de dejarnos tiradas a un grupo que éramos 6 el 9 de septiembre en el albergue privado nos acogieron en este albergue Jaume y Nere (encantadores!!!) dónde nos acondicionaron una habitación para nosotras solas y decir que se preocuparon en todo momento de como estabamos y que toda la atención que recibimos x parte de los dos fue extraordinaria. Muchos besos de las peregrinas catalanas que estuvimos ese día y que siempre os llevarán en el corazón.

The nicest couple run this albergue it is nothing fancy but the energy is warm and welcoming. It was also a very social albergue so I met people to hike with the following days! By donation so have cash ready :)

Very satisfying hostel with a warm welcome from Paxi, an absolute gem of a host!
Breakfast was simple but pleasant: crispbread with butter and jam, served with hot chocolate, tea, coffee, or herbal infusions.

We enjoyed clean and spacious facilities, easily accommodating around thirty guests.

I was sexually assaulted here last week. I immediately told the female volunteer who checked us all in as soon as it happened - Maya (or Maia?) She scoffed at me, stormed off & threw back at me €10 of the €13 donativo, I was in shock and left. This all happened within 30 minutes of arrival. I was in a dorm with him having been one of the first people to arrive so was sent in with him (they check you in in twos in this place) and he sexually assaulted me. I was lucky it could’ve been much worse, but I was able to persuade him to leave me. I have contacted the Albergue 4 times since this happened last week and they just ignore me. I reported to police as soon as I left who were great. Just know that if you stay here and anything bad happens, they do not care at ALL. So disappointing after all the wonderful volunteers and hosts I’d experienced so far. Shameful despicable behaviour. Avoid at all costs.
