Communicating with the Eole team was quite difficult at times and my first impression was quite poor. When I first reserved my weekend stay, I did not receive an email confirmation so I emailed to confirm with my name and reservation number. Perhaps their booking reservation number is just for show as that wasn’t enough information for them to pull up my details and they had to ask for the specific dates of my stay. The email did not include any salutations or base-level professionalism expected from a hotel when you are a guest (or trying to be). After two more email follow-ups to receive the confirmation, they finally responded after three days, the same week as the booking, with proper email etiquette this time. While this may not seem like a big deal, clear communication is essential for all front of house/customer service industries and this did not leave a good first impression in terms of professionalism. It comes down to the details when considering whether or not to recommend a hotel to others or if it warrants return visits which are dependent upon reputation and word of mouth. I personally feel strong customer service can be transformative and have long-lasting effects where relationships, loyalty, and trust are built between local businesses and customers.
That being said, the hotel itself is in a great location and has a unique design centered around a courtyard. The room is made from natural materials like brick and stone, accented with wooden furnishings, harking back to a distant past. Because the building is a century old, it’s not equipped for those with accessibility needs.
For the future, I’d recommend more attention to detail when cleaning the rooms as I found a mysterious pill on the ground in the bedroom. Using non-scented detergent for sheets and towels would also be ideal as the current scent is quite fragrant and floral. The website notes that it has free wifi but it’s not always available due to weak service in Tarifa, a disclaimer that was good to note for transparency’s sake.
With stronger communication and attention to detail, I would have no issue recommending Eole to others.

Das Hotel ist wirklich sehr süß, sauber und hat viel Charme. Die Lage ist super gut und ich habe mich grundsätzlich wohlgefühlt. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiter.

Leider lag mein Zimmer direkt neben dem Eingang. (Zimmer 8). Die ganze Nacht über kamen und gingen Gäste, sodass die Tür gefühlt alle 20–30 Minuten geöffnet und geschlossen wurde. Man
hörte das Summen des Türöffners sehr stark und
dazu kamen laute Gespräche, Schritte und Trittschall aus dem Flur und den anderen Zimmern. An erholsamen Schlaf war dadurch kaum zu denken.

Wer einen leichten Schlaf hat, sollte unbedingt nach einem Zimmer fragen, das nicht direkt am Eingang liegt. Das Hotel selbst ist wirklich hübsch, aber die Geräuschkulisse hat meinen Aufenthalt leider deutlich beeinträchtigt.

Locations is great, the rooms were clean and tidy.
No AC made it a bit warm and we were on the ground floor which made it a bit awkward to keep our windows open with the blinds up to get a breeze.

Servicio no hay. Las habitaciones están muy bien, al menos el apartamento para 4. Las camas son muy grandes y el precio bastante bueno para estar en el centro.

Realmente categoría de Hotel no le daría. No obstante, el contacto con recepción fue genial, todo por movil y sin retraso en las respuestas. Aparcar al lado del hotel, os digo por adelantado que es misión imposible. Tenéis que buscar por los alrededores (Parking Municipal) o callejear.
Por otra parte, me sorprendió la limpieza y tranquilidad del lugar, dormí muy bien. En mi caso me tocó habitación con el baño fuera, pero era mi baño privado. Lo recomendaría y volvería a coger el mismo si vuelvo. Seguro.

The hotel says the front desk is staffed 10:00 to 14:00. It is not staffed and if you have issues checking in, good luck. Average reply times to messages was 12 hours.

Of the two rooms, one didn’t have a work space as advertised and had one outlet next to one of the two beds. The other room had limited lighting and the cold water on the sink faucet dint work.

Common area lighting was nonexistent. Wifi was hit or miss and one of our rooms didn’t have a TV.

Maison atypique, très agréable et vraiment belle. On s’y sent tout de suite bien.
L’hôte est extrêmement réactif et d’une grande gentillesse, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus appréciable.
L’emplacement est exceptionnel, idéal pour profiter pleinement du centre ville.
Je recommande sans hésitation !

Great place, it felt very home-like. Communication for check-in was easy and the location was simple to find. The kitchen had coffee, tea, and everything needed to cook, which made the stay very comfortable.

Cute small authentic Spanish hotel. No one there at night but they were communicative via text. Love the decor. The shower does spray the floor through the door. Gets the floor soaked. Overall comfortable beds and easy to enter and exit! ☺️

Experiência ruim, quarto com banheiro externo adaptado em baixo de uma escada. Horrível tem que tomar banho de joelhos. Muito barulho na madrugada e atendimento somente virtual.
