The most disappointing part of our stay was the interaction with the owner/manager (I believe his name was Roberto). My husband and I became ill and asked about a late checkout. We were willing to pay for an extra night, and we did pay for the only available bed. We only needed to stay for around 2 additional hours before leaving.

Although the bed was already paid for and large enough for both of us to rest briefly, the owner refused to allow my husband to stay with me while I was sick. After discussion, he allowed my husband to sit in the reception area, but not remain with me behind the curtains in the sleeping area. Which doesn’t make any sense, as I was already in the bed and one more person in the same bed before curtain wouldn’t have changed anything. I was looking the owner in the eyes and asking him for this little kindness, I even cried because I couldn’t believe the lack of compassion. But nothing changed his position.

I fully understand that rules exist and that the owner had the right to enforce them. However, what made this experience so upsetting was the complete lack of compassion and humanity in the way the situation was handled. We were two exhausted and sick pilgrims very politely asking for a small act of kindness for just a short amount of time, after already paying for the bed. Instead of feeling cared for or understood, we felt unwelcome and emotionally distressed at a moment when we were physically unwell and vulnerable. Unfortunately, this interaction left a much stronger impression on us than the positive aspects of the stay.

Een van de beter albergues op de route. Ze nemen goede maatregelen tegen bedbugs, houden alles super schoon, de locatie was super fijn en het ontbijt was ook prima geregeld. Kevin gaf ons goede tips voor een fijn restaurant, uiteindelijk bleek dit zelfs het lekkerste eten van heel de camino! Ik zou het aan iedereen aanraden.

Direkt am Weg, Klasse augestattet: Alles was man braucht, sogar echte Treppen zum oberen Schlafplatz. Die Waschmaschine hat meine Klamotten gewaschen und ruckzuck waren sie auf der Leine getrocknet. Mittagessen war auch und jetzt warte ich glücklich und zufrieden auf das was noch kommt.

eine sehr hübsche unterkunft. die betten sind schön und gemütlich. duschen sind okay. die terrasse ist toll. an sich find ich es in ordnung wenn es extra spinde für das gepäck gibt, aber dann sollten diese auch groß genug sein. es war sehr umständlich immer seinen rucksack rein und raus zubekommen. und es fehlt an aufhängungen für jacken. so müssen diese mit in den spind plus wanderstöcke plus essen.
es gibt eine kaffeemaschine in der „küche“ aber diese darf nicht benutzt werden. ansonsten gibt es automaten aber die nehmen nur münzen und geld klein wechseln macht die unterkunft auch nicht.

(+) Nice hostel quite in the city center by the river banks. Beds were comfortable and with lots of privacy. Breakfast is available and there are vending machines on site.
(-) There is only one toilet and two showers (for each: men/women) with more than 25 beds - this is not enough.
The showers provide absolutely no privacy. There is a rule to not enter sleeping bags and backpacks into the dorm. While I appreciate the effort to minimize bed bugs, the lockers provided are simply too small for the standard backpack size. This makes the whole experience unnecessarily challenging. For all the above, the price charged is slightly too high.

The hostel is decent but overpriced. There is no privacy in the bathroom — only one toilet and two shower cabins all in one room. Not news for albergues but you expect something else for €25.

They have a ridiculous rule: no backpacks in the sleeping area. The lockers are in the hallway so if you need something small you have to run back and forth. It makes a stay unnecessarily inconvenient. There is no enough room by the bed to store all the necessary things for the night you keep in a backpack.

When I left a backpack by my bed to change after the stage and prepare for the stay, I left the room for a few minutes and came back to find out that the manager took all of my belongings without permission and put them in a hallway. The backpack was open. He placed it just on the floor. Completely inappropriate. Then he forced me out of bed to scold and make sure I saw a poster with the rules. The aggressiveness and incompetence of the staff made the stay in what seems a decent hostel a very frustrating and anxious experience. Now the next day I’m walking with a migraine.

Es el albergue más lamentable que he encontrado en todo el camino pero con diferencia. Infinitamente mejor cualquiera de los albergues que tienen las literas estilo cuartel. Aqui la cama está metida en un zulo mínimo, o mejor un "ataúd" patético. Abstenerse claustrofóbicos.

Loved this albergue - the stairs to top bunk were a welcome addition and it felt very cosy. Small kitchen and communal space but perfect for everything we needed. Host was so kind and accommodating - did our washing for us for 6€ including drying!!
