Stanotte ho avuto la fortuna di poter alloggiare da Knut, un Danese con un anima avvolgente che ha deciso quale potesse essere il suo ruolo nel mondo: dare ospitalità.

È sempre lui che la mattina e la sera apre e chiude la Chiesa che si affaccia alla sua casa (che un tempo era del prete)

L'ambiente è curato pulito e straordinariamente accogliente. Ho dormito con lenzuola pulite e un ottimo piumino.

Questa esperienza rimarrà a lungo nel mio cuore.

Ho cenato con una ottima zuppa di pomodoro e cipolle, condita con buon pane e aglio, poi ho mangiato delle ottime lasagne di verdure e un buon tiramisù.
Il tutto per 15€.

La colazione costa 10€ ed è di qualità ed abbondante. Sicuramente tornerei a prenderla.

Je me suis arrêté chez Knut pour le déjeuner. J'ai eu un coup de cœur pour le cadre et l'ambiance de son auberge, ainsi que pour la qualité de sa cuisine (la soupe de poulet aux légumes était délicieuse et réconfortante).

Wow! I am so grateful that we stopped at this amazing Cafe and Albergue. Knut embraced you with love and comforts from the moment you step inside. The location is fantastic with the garden and the river and a beautiful little church right next-door.

One of the highlights of my Camino! What a magical little oasis. Laying by the river on cushions in the sun after a day of walking was so heavenly. Knut is so warm and welcoming. The rooms are cosy, there are little comforts like conditioner, real sheets and a hair dryer and the food was delicious. Stay here!!!

Staying at this albergue was truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on the Camino. The owner is an incredibly positive and friendly person who immediately made me feel welcome and at home. Everything – from the bathroom to the beds and common areas – is carefully arranged and spotless.

The location right next to a river makes it the perfect place to relax and let your soul unwind. In the evening, we shared a meditation together, which turned into a simply magical moment. The food was another highlight: the pilgrim’s menu was homemade, full of flavor, and honestly the best I’ve ever had.

This albergue is more than just a place to stay – it’s a place to feel connected, cared for, and inspired. Highly recommended!

El del albergue nos dijo que una habitación la tenía cerrado por bichos y nos lleva a la otra habitación donde resultó que también había chinches. Nos pedía quitar las sábanas antes de salir por la mañana y ahí estaba…nos fuimos con mala sensación

Casa Cantadora – A Peaceful Gem on the Río Valcarce

If you’re looking for a spot to unwind on the Camino, Casa Cantadora is pure magic. Tucked away in a little village just feet from the soothing stream of the Río Valcarce, this albergue is all about slowing down and soaking it all in.

The vibe is total relaxation (with one caveat below), comfortable, peaceful, and full of charm. The owner is witty and genuinely down to earth, someone who makes you feel like you’re staying at a good friend’s country home rather than just another stop on the trail.

An equal showstopper? Dinner: An incredible three course meal made with love, and the dessert he made was his grandmother’s apple recipe (not something you'd easily find elsewhere on the Camino).

Highly recommend this little haven. It’s the kind of place you remember long after the walking is done.

For total relaxation, request the room on the stream side. While the albergue itself is peaceful, the lively restaurant patio across the street stays busy late into the night, with locals out enjoying themselves including during the week. Around midnight on a Tuesday, it was still going strong - great for atmosphere, but not ideal if you’re a light sleeper.

Fue una grata experiencia, no tengo palabras para agradecer y expresar, lo amables y comprensivos que fueron conmigo.
El hospitalero tiene un Aura que se percibe nada más entrar en el albergue, un paraíso de descanso y meditación, cómodo, funcional, místico, con un patio para el relax y la salida al río para refrescar los cansados pies y cuerpo entero, con hamaca y cojines para el descanso.
