Stayed here for two nights before our flight home. It was Genuinely a fever dream. This hostel is not social it’s weird as. I have never had people like this around me. One American guy wouldn’t stop being on calls or streaming or smt, he was soooo loud, sitting on the floor in the room when people were trying to sleep. Another girl was walking around wrapped in bedsheets in the middle of the night:) And another one missed her flight because the energy wasn’t right? There’s more, but nothing compares to the absolute pest of flies that were everywhere and no one seemed to be bothered? The cat wasn’t cute it attacked me in my bed which was also infested by bed bugs! Had a terrible night since we were about 12 people in a room with old men snoring and people leaving and reentering the room without caring about the people trying to sleep! Overall don’t recommend!

Y que conste que pongo una estrella por poner algo pero ni eso merecen, llegué a las 11 de la noche y primeramente con la contraseña no habría la puerta y luego llegó a la habitación y daba asco llegué a las 11 y me fui a las 6am del otro día la peor opción que puedan ver en toda España

Je n'ai pas apprécié le comportement du bénévole d'origine italien qui nettoient le sol et ramassent les poubelles en échange d'un lit. Hier, il est venu me parler d'une manière totalement inacceptable et me donner des ordres comme si j'étais chez ses parents (le pauvre, hélas). Il a essayé de jouer les "cow-boys". C'est un Italien avec des tatouages et des boucles d'oreilles. Je recommande à l'établissement de former ses bénévoles pour leur apprendre à s'adresser aux clients avec respect.

No me gustó el comportamiento de un voluntario de Italia (uno de los que limpia y recoge la basura a cambio de una cama). Ayer vino a hablarme de una manera totalmente inaceptable y a darme órdenes como si estuviera en la casa de sus padres (pobre de él, por desgracia). Intentó ir de "cowboy". Es un italiano con tatuajes y pendientes. Le exijo al hostel que dé formación a sus voluntarios para enseñarles a hablar con respeto a los clientes.

Desde el primer momento, sin haber hecho reserva aún con ellos, han sido atentos y han respondido todas mis preguntas. Llegué tarde por la noche y me facilitaron toda la información necesaria para tener una estancia cómoda y tranquila. Aunque mi pausa fuese breve tengo muy claro que volvería a este hostel sin dudarlo. Tienen cocina, piscina, camas cómodas y unos trabajadores maravillosos. Gracias!

I came to Los Amigos without many expectations, but I found much more than I was looking for. This place helped me regain a sense of peace and slow down for a while. Thank you for the great atmosphere and for the time spent among such wonderful people.

Staff is smoking the special lettuce in the communal garden - making the public areas smell like a lettuce hub. Every morning I woke up with big red spots on my body (eventually 12). Clearly bugs or insects.
That atmosphere and cool vibes that people here are talking about, that's not travelers that have just met and are now dancing and singing together, it's a big group of volunteer staff enjoying life. About 8 or so.
As several staff members are live-in workers, they will act as residents, eg using the entire kitchen for their group when cooking and spending loads of time in the showers - both resulting in paying guests having to wait. Dirty dishes were left overnight, food left on counters and occasionally they would also leave the reception desk unattended to go play in the pool.
I got a great first impression by the atmosphere and the cool place, but it quickly changed. And who can you talk with, when the managers are clearly allowing it all? I'm sure if you want to hang with staff you won't notice everything, but if you don't you will have a very different experience. Worst hostel I've stayed at.
The check-in email states that things such as the special lettuce are strictly forbidden, so why are they using the special lettuce in areas where guests are supposed to enjoy? There should DEFINITELY be a clear warning on their booking page clarifying that "you may feel like you are staying in the back streets": lettuce, bites and dirt.
The bus ride to Los Christianos doesn't take 50 minutes as Google claims, you'll have to commute for around 1,5 hours.
The cats were lovely though!

A backpackers hostel, very chilled and attracts a great crowd.

If you are looking for an experience where you meet people chat and create new connections then I highly recommend.

You really can’t beat the value for the bed when it comes with such a setting.

A little retreat in a small village next to the airport. The amazing managers and volunteers at Los Amigos make the place special, and you can really tell they bring a nice energy to the place. Unfortunately the owners of this Nest hostel got too greedy. stuffing 70 people into an old house with only one kitchen ( a single stove and sink). If you plan to cook here, it's not going to be pleasant. They desperately need to rennovate and add more cooking space.

Overall the hostel is nice, but BEDBUGS made my journey there more unpleasant. I got bit in a 6-bed female dorm room, I hope they take action regarding bedbugs
