Ich verstehe die guten Bewertungen nicht. Die Einrichtungen im Hostel sind alt, der Innenhof vom Hostel ist eine Bar, die Dachterasse wird auch privat vermietet und im Keller ist ein Restaurant, alleine schon sicherheitsmäßig wusste ich jetzt nicht wirklich ob sich nur Hostelgäste im Hostel aufhalten. Ansonsten waren zu der Zeit als wir da waren überwiegend große Gruppen da, das hat ein Kennenlernen von anderen Reisenden schwer gemacht. In der ersten Nacht gab es keine Klimaanlage, dadurch war es enorm heiß, ab der zweiten Nacht hat die Klimaanlage aber glücklicherweise funktioniert aber man konnte daraus nichts ändern. Die Bäder waren auch ein bisschen ekelhaft, entweder hat die Spülung von der Toilette nicht richtig gespült oder hat dann 2 Minuten gespült, es gab beim Waschbecken und in der Dusche nichts zum Abstellen. Und das alles hat 50 Euro die Nacht gekostet in einem 8er Schlafsaal.

Good value, clean space, convenient location, but next to no social scene. The common area felt like a visit to my grandmother's house.

Roughly 15-minute (pleasant) walk from the old town, and same again from the nearest train station.

The hostel itself is clean and rooms are spacious. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly. Location 5 mins from beach and 15mins from old town.

Low rating due to me staying on the ground floor room which had no ac or fan, no air ventilation even with window wide open so temperature was always warmer than inside. Receptionist located a fan, which did absolutely nothing as you could only feel some air stood directly next to it. It was about 50cm in height. Window open meant that you could hear the restaurant outside full of chatter and music till 11pm/12am every night.

Not worth the €50 a night to be spent with no proper fans, and loud music at night due to having to open the windows for air. Would not recommend because of this. Perhaps other seasons are better

Guy at reception was so annoying and always crashing out. Made the minimum amount of noise and he was fuming. Felt like I was on a school camp with teachers watching after me. The rooms were also boiling, no aircon or anything, wouldn’t even give us another fan or accommodate for us, serious disgrace. Do not book this place for your own sake.

Hi hem assistit diverses vegades amb un grup escolar gran. Les instal·lacions estan molt bé però que no totes les habitacions tinguin aire acondicionat ha sigut un problema aquest cop per l'onada de calor. El personal de recepció/consergeria molt atents.
Pel que fa al menjar, al ser un grup es demana esmorzar i sopar de càtering a la sidreria del costat i picnic al migdia: el picnic és un entrepà, amb poca varietat durant la setmana, pa bastant sec; el sopar a la sidreria és bo però amb quantitats petites per a adolescents. A nivell d'al·lergies i intoleràncies ha sigut un desastre: a cada àpat ens ho tornaven a demanar, ens van posar aliments no aptes per als celíacs (contaminació creuada) ni per als al·lergics a la proteïna de llet de vaca. La darrera nit ens van servir un pastís que a més podia tenir traces de fruits secs i anavem amb 2 alumnes molt al·lèrgics.
Ja no es tracta de fer-ho bé o malament, sinó de tenir en compte les lleis de manipulació d'aliments.

I had an amazing time here. Helpful and kind workers, clean and safe rooms and beds, a lot of place to socialize. The beach is only 5 minutes from here.

Lo mejor que tiene es la situación, justo a una calle de la playa. También está súper cerca de la calle de los pintxos y demás. Situación inmejorable. Mención especial a los baños, a pesar de ser compartidos están mucho más limpios que los de muchos hoteles. La limpieza pasa con abundante frecuencia y siempre están limpios y con buen olor. Si vuelvo a San Sebastián estoy seguro de que repetiré alojamiento.

Ich war hier als Pilger auf dem Jakobsweg, da es in San Sebastian keine Pilgerherbergen mehr gibt. Das Hostel ist gut organisiert, das Personal ist freundlich. Für Pilger nicht ganz optimal, da es keine Möglichkeit gibt Wäsche zu waschen oder zum Trocknen aufzuhängen. Die anderen Gäste sind eher Städtetouristen, man fühlt sich etwas fehl am Platz mit seinen Wanderstiefeln und Wanderstöcken. Ich hatte Glück und in meinem Zimmer war es nachts sehr ruhig. Leider bei 32 Grad Außentemperatur keine Klimaanlage oder Ventilatoren. Die Matratze (Plastik) war sehr durchgelegen, die Vorhangstange am Bett ist mehrfach heruntergefallen, da sie nicht ordentlich befestigt war.
Vielleicht sollte man 1-2 Zimmer für Pilger reservieren und diese dann gesammelt dort unterbringen, das wäre viel angenehmer.
