Super Hostel - sehr gepflegte und schöne Zimmer, sehr freundliches personal, minimale Küche (Wasserkocher, Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank- aber auch da alles sehr Sauber), gemütlicher Aufenthaltsbereich. Perfekte Lage zum Surfen und die Stadt erkunden. Würde sofort wieder kommen.

I really enjoyed staying here, it was my first time and I would be thrilled to return. I slept in the dorm of four which was spacious, light and airy.
The storage draws below the beds are huge so you really can unpack everything safe and securely. The larger bathroom was clean and again, spacious. The bar area and comfy seating area is super and this place has something for everybody! Whether you want to read your book, surf, socialise and bar hop it’s one for all. Out of the staff, Fran was so hospitable, warm, helpful and serving the best coffees in house and for takeaway. Plus the lemon pie was a treat. Great consistent service from Fran across the four days 🙏

Very nice, very clean hostel. The staff was friendly and inviting. They show you to your room and explain everything. The location is great, especially to the beach where the surfers are. The two things I didn't love was the bathrooms were super cramped, but there is an option for a private bathroom if it is open. Also, the kitchen only has a fridge and microwave, so you can't cook a lot if you wanted to.

I really enjoyed the 6 nights I spent here. One of the best hotels if stayed in a long time. The place was really clean, the bed was comfortable, location was perfect and most of all the staff and volunteers were all legends! They were really helpful, fun loving and unique people.

Where to start? One of the best—if not the best—hostels I’ve stayed at in Europe. Whether you’re on a surf trip or just visiting the region, Surfing Etxea is clearly the best option in San Sebastián.

For surfers, there’s a (very comfortable) dedicated space with boards and wetsuits available for rent. The rooms are modern and clean, just like the bathrooms.

Special shoutout to the staff—Shareen, Anna, Segundo, Francesca, Lina and Francisco who make you feel right at home ❤️

¿Lo recomendaría? Probablemente sí. ¿Volveré? Probablemente no.
Los servicios son los de cualquier hostal moderno, pero tienen un convenio con una escuela de surf con buenos precios, lo cual es un plus real si vienes a surfear. Lo mejor del sitio es el ambiente entre huéspedes: hay buen rollo y es fácil conectar con gente.
El punto negativo es el personal del turno de noche. Sobre las 23:00 entré, saludé y me dispuse a subir a mi habitación. Sin ningún motivo, uno de los empleados de recepción me pidió el nombre antes de coger el ascensor. Era huésped registrado, con llave en mano. Soy una persona de color, y que tres empleados decidieran señalarme a mí en ese momento no me pareció casualidad. Mis datos ya constaban desde el check-in. Si hay dudas sobre quién está alojado, para eso existen los sistemas internos, no para incomodar selectivamente a ciertos huéspedes.
Mención aparte para Ana, que fue profesional, atenta y explicó todo perfectamente desde el primer momento. Gracias Ana! :)

If you are looking for a great hostel with a good atmosphere, look no further.

The staff was accommodating, friendly, and energetic. Throughout my stay they asked how I was doing, answered any questions I had, gave recommendations for things to see and do, and helped book surf lessons/rentals.

As for the hostel, it was overall very clean, organized, and well laid out. The beds had lockers underneath big enough to fit big bags, each bed had a curtain, light, and charging outlet. The main bathroom was a little cramped but the private bathroom was a gem! Great idea to have a private bathroom that is available to everyone.

Saving the best for last, the location is superb! The surf club is 3-5 minutes way, the beach is 5-6 minutes away, there's an Lidl around 3-5 minutes away, the bus station is 15 minutes away, and the main part of San Sebastián is around 15 minutes away. It's the perfect distance from everything!

The kitchen does not have a stove, oven, or any cookware. It does however have a fridge, microwave, toaster, utensils, and teapot. Keep this in mind if you plan of cooking for yourself during your stay. It is a little more on the pricy side. That said I do think it is well worth it.

Las instalaciones un lujo y a dos cuadras de la playa para poder ir a Surfear o bien ir a disfrutar. Un gran lugar para ir a disfrutar y pasarla bien. Los chicos del hostel muy amables y mención especial para Fran que siempre está atento a que estés a gusto

Excelente hostel, muy buen ambiente, bien ubicado, el personal muy amable y las habitaciones muy comodas.
Recomiendo totalmente para surfers y no surfers 🤙
