The stay was was very cozy, great activities managed by the hostel, cool and hip bar that is integrated in the hostel . We met alot of cool people in the rooftop area aswell. Santiago showed us everything we needed to know and was always happy to help us, really cool guy!

We stayed for 2 nights here, the location is very convenient , many shops and good food places all around. Rooms were clean, the surrounding facilities aswell, not to mention the staff, who were also very helpfull and friendly, one particular guy stuck in our minds the most - Santiago . He was very polite and kind, suggested a few local places and when we needed help the most he was there to assist us. Great stay!

Très déçus par notre séjour.

La climatisation de tout l’hôtel est tombée en panne pendant 4 jours, en pleine période de fortes chaleurs à Majorque. Chaque jour, on nous disait qu’elle serait réparée “le lendemain” ou “dans la journée”, mais cela n’a jamais été le cas. Il était quasiment impossible de dormir tellement la chambre était étouffante, ce qui a gâché une grande partie de nos vacances.

Malgré cette situation, l’hôtel a refusé tout geste commercial ou remboursement, alors que la climatisation est un service essentiel, surtout en été.

Autre point très décevant : des personnes se sont servies dans le réfrigérateur commun et ont pris de la nourriture que nous avions achetée nous-mêmes. Cela est inacceptable et montre un manque de sécurité pour les affaires des clients.

Nous comprenons qu’une panne puisse arriver, mais le manque de solutions, de communication et de considération envers les clients est vraiment décevant. Nous ne recommandons pas cet hôtel.

Me alojé en este hostel del 12 al 16 de julio. Quiero partir diciendo que el personal fue relativamente amable, sobre todo Alex que me hizo el check in, la ubicación es excelente y las instalaciones, en general, son modernas. Precisamente por eso me da pena escribir esta reseña, porque creo que una situación pésimamente gestionada terminó opacando una estadía que podría haber sido muy buena.

El aire acondicionado dejó de funcionar el 13 de julio y se mantuvo en mal estado durante el resto de mi estancia. Todos los huéspedes informaron el problema desde el primer día y se nos indicó que estaban esperando una pieza para repararlo, pero nunca se solucionó antes de mi salida. Entiendo perfectamente que a veces las cosas que echan a perder y que hay cosas que escapan al control del alojamiento. Lo que me decepcionó fue la forma en que se gestionó la situación. No se ofreció ninguna solución temporal para los huéspedes, ningún tipo de ventilación alternativa a pesar de las altas temperaturas, y dormir durante tres noches sin aire acondicionado, con sábanas pegajosas por el sudor y el ruido al tener que mantener las ventanas abiertas fue realmente muy difícil.

Además, durante mi estancia los baños compartidos no siempre estaban en buenas condiciones de limpieza. En varias ocasiones las duchas se veían sucias, algo que me sorprendió considerando que había personal de limpieza de forma constante.

Después de mi viaje contacté directamente al alojamiento para solicitar una compensación económica parcial, ya que pasé 3 de las 4 noches sin un servicio esencial que formaba parte de la reserva, durante una ola de calor en Palma. El hostel reconoció por escrito que la avería afectó mi estancia, pero se negaron rotundamente a efectuar cualquier tipo de reembolso y ofrecieron apenas una disculpa genérica por el mal rato. Finalmente quien tuvo el gesto de ofrecer un crédito fue Booking.com, no el alojamiento, dado que nuevamente Boc Hostels se negó a llegar a un acuerdo con Booking.

Es una pena, porque el hostel tiene potencial. Sin embargo, la atención al cliente es, por lo demás, extremadamente deficiente y bordea lo ridículo. Cuando ocurre un problema importante cómo la falta de un servicio esencial, lo que realmente marca la diferencia es cómo se responde frente a él. En mi caso la falta de una solución durante la estancia y la negativa a ofrecer cualquier compensación hicieron que mi experiencia fuera extremadamente decepcionante. No lo recomiendo y, sinceramente, no volvería ni aunque me pagaran por ello.

Anfangs hatten wir einen guten Eindruck vom Hostel. Die erste Nacht war noch in Ordnung und Alex an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit – dafür ein großes Dankeschön.

Leider ging es danach nur noch bergab. Die Klimaanlage hat während unseres Aufenthalts nicht funktioniert und jeden Tag wurde uns versprochen, dass sie “morgen” repariert wird. Passiert ist nichts. Die Luft in den Zimmern war unerträglich stickig und nicht einmal alle Fenster ließen sich öffnen.

Zusätzlich lief nachts Musik auf den Fluren, die man deutlich in den Zimmern hören konnte. An erholsamen Schlaf war überhaupt nicht zu denken. Die Nächte waren unglaublich anstrengend und haben unseren Aufenthalt stark beeinträchtigt.

Als einzige Lösung wurde uns angeboten, in ein anderes Hostel umzuziehen – allerdings hätten wir dort weder zusammen in einem Zimmer noch in einem reinen Frauenzimmer schlafen können. Das war für uns keine echte Alternative. Stornieren konnten wir den Aufenthalt ebenfalls nicht, sodass wir gezwungen waren zu bleiben.

Schade, denn der Aufenthalt hätte mit einer funktionierenden Klimaanlage und etwas mehr Entgegenkommen ganz anders verlaufen können. Für uns war die Erfahrung insgesamt leider sehr enttäuschend. Ich würde dieses Hostel definitiv nicht noch einmal buchen und kann es leider auch nicht weiterempfehlen.

During my stay, the air conditioning was broken while temperatures outside were around 38°C/39ºC. The rooms became unbearably hot, with almost no airflow from the windows. Many guests were struggling with the heat. Some people felt unwell (myself included), and others even ended up sleeping on the floor near the balcony doors just to try to cool down.

What disappointed me the most wasn’t the fact that the A/C broke—these things happen. It was the lack of any real effort to help guests. The hostel couldn’t even provide fans as a temporary solution, despite knowing how extreme the conditions were. At the very least, a hostel should be prepared for situations like this and have contingency measures in place. I spent 2 nights barely sleeping because of the heat.

I also found it very disappointing that no compensation or meaningful solution was offered for such a significant issue, especially considering this wasn’t a cheap stay.
The rooms are also very basic, with little more than a bed, one power outlet per person, and lockers (without the locker) that are extremely noisy every time someone opens or closes them.

I checked out feeling frustrated because this hostel had everything to be an amazing experience, but the way this situation was handled completely overshadowed my stay. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend it based on my experience

Kommt nicht! Klimaanlage defekt, bei 35 Grad tagsüber unmöglich. Ich habe das Hostel genau wegen der Klimaanlage ausgewählt, aber die war schon vor meiner Ankunft kaputt. Online kein Hinweis. Es gibt auch keine Auskunft außer „they’re fixing it“, na Danke. Gestern gab’s dann Zettel an jeder Tür, dass die Klimaanlagen morgen repariert werden. Der Tag ist jetzt um, daher jetzt erst die Bewertung. Unmöglich! Man kommt aus der Dusche und tropft sofort wieder vor Schweiß. Das ist kein Zustand, aber ändern tut sich absolut nichts.
Die Betten haben keinen Nachttisch oder Ähnliches, auch sonst ist im Zimmer kein Tisch oder Stuhl. Schlösser für die Spinde gibt’s auch nicht, bzw. muss man sich für Geld ausleihen (kein Pfand). Der Innenhof ist sehr laut.
Insgesamt nicht zu empfehlen, vor allem für den stattlichen Preis

★☆☆☆☆ – Very disappointing experience

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing stay at The Boc Hostels Palma.

We arrived late at night and simply asked if we could wait in the common area until our room was ready the next day. The receptionist refused and told us to come back at 2:00 PM. We returned one hour early, but we still had to wait until exactly 2:00 PM before we were allowed to check in. What made this even more confusing was that when we finally entered our room, other guests were already inside, so it was unclear why we couldn’t access it a little earlier.

Another major disappointment was all the extra charges. After paying more than €500 for our stay, we were surprised that towels were not included and had to be rented for an additional fee. Even blankets and lockers required extra payment. In our opinion, basic necessities like towels and secure lockers should be included, especially considering the price we paid.

The biggest issue, however, was the customer service. We never felt welcomed. There was no friendly greeting, no smile, no “welcome,” and no effort to make guests feel comfortable. The staff came across as cold and unfriendly throughout our stay, which left a very negative impression.

Communication in English was also difficult at times, making it harder to ask questions or resolve issues.

The atmosphere in the shared room was not pleasant either. It felt like guests could not even turn on the light late in the evening without complaints from roommates. While we understand the need to respect others, the overall environment did not feel welcoming or relaxed.

I also got into trouble for smoking on the balcony because I wasn’t aware it wasn’t allowed. I knew smoking was permitted on the terrace, but nobody clearly explained the balcony rule to me beforehand.

Overall, we felt uncomfortable during our stay and did not experience the friendly hospitality we expected. Whether this was because we were tourists or for another reason, we cannot say, but we did not feel respected as guests.

For the amount we paid, we expected much better service, better communication, and basic amenities to be included. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend The Boc Hostels Palma based on our experience.
